“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” -John 8:12- The bulb burnt out. The world that shone has lost its exuberance, and all that's left is hypocrisy. I’m not so much giddy as compared to my melancholy because the light in my world; the bulb burnt out. Jesus doesn’t satisfy. Church is a guise. My family is drowning in the fermented fruits to this truth. I see why the water became the wine losing its purity to the corrupted community of life. I’ve come to know this scarlet drink. It’s my blood, my outlook, my reflection, my life, as a grape left out to rot. Outpoured, miraculously transformed, the innocent conceives sin as dark as his glass to realise his bulb burnt out.
